What is a TCG?

Online Trading Card Games are similar to the trading cards you knew as a child. Rather than playing in person and collecting cards from packs at the store, you collect everything online. The goal is to collect all of the cards you like, also know as mastering a deck. Online TCGs are free to play, a lot of fun, and very addictive! Interested in joining? Check out the rest of this section before moving on to the join form!

That's what we're all here for! :)
There are 3 different types of cards available: character, puzzle and special. All decks contain 20 cards each, but special cards are wort 2 while regular cards are worth 1.
ID Cards are also special somehow. Each student has one ID card with an image of his/her choice. ID cards are worth 0 and can only be traded once with other student (so no doubles possible). It's not allowed to only trade ID cards, you have to trade some other cards in the same transaction.
For each 10 ID cards you'll receive the regular master reward, so trade a lot :)

Trade Post

Before you join, you need a place to store your stuff, also know as a trade post. To make life easier for you and for your fellow TCG members, you should separate your cards--at least into groups of keeping and trading. You are also required to keep a detailed card log, showing how you got every card. The final thing you need on your site is a way to contact you, either a form or an email link, so you can trade.

Levels & Level Ups

When you join Hopes Peak, you begin at level one and work your way up through the levels. The requirements for each level are posted here. The rewards for leveling up are 2 regular card(s) of choice and 2 random regular cards.

Level 1001-100
Level 2101-200
Level 3201-300
Level 4301-400
Level 5401-500
Level 6501-700
Level 7701-900
Level 8901-1100
Level 91101-1300
Level 101301-1500

Once you have collecting all of the cards in a deck, you have mastered the deck. This means you cannot trade away any of these cards (except for doubles, of course) but you will receive some rewards for doing so.
BUT if it's a character deck, you'll also need to own (and give away for mastering) 3 items this character loves. You only need 3 items, even if the character loves 4 or more. A complete list of items can be seen at the Store.
For every regular card deck you master, you receive 1 regular card(s) of choice and 3 random regular cards. If you've mastered a character deck, you also receive 5 Monocoins.

Every month a member gets (temporarily) graduated. It's like the bad version of "member of the month". The currently graduated member can be seen at the bottom area of the page and is announced in the news. I'll try to change the member bi-weekly, but it might take longer, so don't be sad if it's yout turn.
Graduated members are not allowed to use the School Store. That means they can not buy/exchange items or choice cards.

There are a lot of items around you can earn by playing games or obtain by using the Monomono Machine at the School Store. Items are neccessary to master a character deck (see Mastering) and are worth 0. You can not trade items with other students, but you may exchange unwanted items at the School Store (not 1:1 though, so choose wisely).

Coupons and Currency

Choice Cards can be purchased at the store or earned through games. They can be exchanged for any card. There's no form, just delete the coins and take the card you want. Don't forget to log your exchange!
Monocoins can be earned by playing games or mastering character decks. You can spend them at the School Store.
